New Tribes Repack 14

Postby phantom » Thu Sep 01, 2011 3:31 pm

Tribes Repack release 14 is out now. Get it here (465 MB).

PATCHES FOR REPACK USERS:
(The patches are only for updating old repack versions; if you do not have the repack, do not download them)
OLDER VERSIONS (Repack 1 to Repack 7) MUST USE ALL PATCHES IN ORDER
A patch to update older versions of the repack to version 8 is here (79 MB).
For Repack versions 8 and newer (8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13), you only need this patch: Patch 8 to 14 (8.9 MB).

(On Windows Vista and Windows 7, the installer must be run as administrator in order to function.)

Changes in release 14 (September 1, 2011):
-Fixed a bug where RMRPG may not work.
-Fixed a bug causing the repack to not identify itself if you ran the client with -mod rpg.
-Added the ability to use number keys for binds/menus even when you're not controlling a character (for example, meditating in rpg mod). This must be activated by the server.
-Added a new shape by RJ, tailor made for a zone on my server.
-Added files necessary for a zombie survival mod.
-Improvements to hack fix server (v1.8.2):
--Fixed some of the #set buttons which were not working.
--Server can now alert users when they are a lower repack version than the server itself.

Recent changes in my main RPG server:
-Packs no longer fall inside objects after the server restarts.
-It is now possible to talk to NPCs simply by pressing the 'use pack' button.
-Added a better menu for talking to NPCs.
-Default talk for new players is now #global.
-NPCs no longer push you away when you walk into them, instead they are solid as other players are.
-Added Elementalist class, with a unique spell for controlling weather.
-Smithing has a much improved menu interface.
-Boats now give helpful info about where they go.
