I got Final Fantasy 3!!!!!!!!!!

Post by Wind Adept » Wed Dec 27, 2006 3:41 pm

I got Final fantasy 3 for christmas and it's pretty awesome!! the fact that there are so many jobs and that you can equip weapons on both the left and right arms of your party members is great, the only thing I find annoying is that you don't reach a save point for a while and if you die before that, you have to start the thing ALL over again! but other than that,it's an awesome game :D

That dying without saving bugs me in EVERY Final Fantasy game, since some saves are so close together, I get annoyed and just ignore them, then die and lose about 2 hours of play time >.>.

*edit: correction, I didn't realize it until after I posted, but you can save when you are on the overworld map. If you are in a dungeon or in a town you can quicksave... however, that means you have to turn the power off and after you continue from that point and you happen to die, you have to start at the last time you saved on the overworld map. lol what a silly noobish thing for me to do! :D

Saving on the overworld is for pansies :D (I didn't realize you could do that in Tales of Symphonia until my second playthrough ^_^)

The Job system in FF3 is not nearly as good as the one in FF5 ^_^

In FF5, you can equip abilities from other jobs once you have learned it. So for instance, you could be using white magic as a theif ;)

I also think the one in FF5 is geared a lot more towards switching to fit the situation. FF3 is more like the original, where you stick with your party, except you will want to change it when you get to a new crystal (I didn't change any jobs after the second crystal :D)

Right now I have a Dark Knight (very good ability) Dragoon (also very good ability, can get out of the way so he won't take damage and go tons of damage to flying enemies) and I still have a white and black mage ^_^
