Freelancer has more than around 50 ships with many many star systems to go to. I've played the game for over 20 hours and still haven't beat the campaign >.< I mainly download all the mods they have. There are some pretty neat ones, like one that turns every ship into a starwars model, including drivable Star Destroyers. I'm still waiting for a full total conversion of Homeworld onto Freelancer. That would be cool.

Yeah, the story line is pretty long for a ship flying game. It costs around $15-20. It even has a cool multiplayer mode where you can have up to 256 players (rarely gets to 10), and its like story mode, just you can just fly around and go places doing missions. My favorite is trying to run away from enemy ships who can kill me in one shot. And shooting a battleship and seeing if i can live long enough to warp.
